Deep groove ball bearings are available as covered (with seals or covers) or uncovered. Deep groove ball bearings are also available with filler grooves, which have a filler groove in both the inner and outer rings. Bearings with filler grooves have a higher radial load capacity than bearings without filler grooves, but their axial load capacity is limited.
