Spherical roller bearings have two rows of symmetrical rolling elements and a common spherical raceway in the outer ring. The self-aligning design allows them to compensate for shaft misalignment relative to the housing and shaft deflection. Due to these structural characteristics, they are irreplaceable in many bearing applications. Spherical roller bearings are capable of supporting substantial radial loads as well as axial loads in both directions.
